Mobile Food Bank coming to South Lake Tahoe; Volunteers needed

South Lake Tahoe community members in need of help filling their cupboards are welcome to head over to the American Legion Hall on Wednesday, February 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for the Food Bank of El Dorado County's monthly visit.

The Mobile Food Pantry will distribute emergency supplemental groceries at the Hall, which is located at 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd. One allocation per household. You must eet the State of California Health and Social Services Agency Emergency Food Assistance Program income guidelines to qualify. Income guidelines can be found online at www.dss.cahwnet.gov/efap/.

They are in need of eight to ten volunteers from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Wednesdy to help with the Mobile Food Pantry. Volunteers will be assisting in handing out food and signing people in.
