Mom’s Morning Out: A morning of health and wellness

Event Date:
April 30, 2016 - 8:00am

Women of all ages are invited to celebrate the health and wellness of women at the fifth annual Mom’s Morning Out on Saturday, April 30.

“Mom’s Morning Out is an event just for women that unites the body and mind.” says Natasha Schue, Barton’s Community Relations Coordinator. “It’s an opportunity to slow down, unwind, and be pampered.”

The first activity, Beyond Yoga with The Studio Lake Tahoe, starts at 8:00 a.m. Other fitness classes throughout the morning include Cardio Core with Tahoe Fit and Healthy Mommies Yoga with Lake Tahoe Yoga.

Most activities – including coffee and brunch - are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Women can browse wellness booths from local businesses and experience a pampering service. This year, Barton Health medical providers will provide informative wellness lectures on “ABC’s of HPV: Cervical Cancer Prevention,” at 9:15 a.m., “Ditch the Diet: Power of Food for Health,” at 10:15 a.m., and “Dealing with Conflicts at School: Be Your Child’s Advocate” at 11:15 a.m.

The complimentary event takes place at Lake Tahoe Community College in the Commons Area. No RSVP is required and all activities are free of charge. All attendees must be twelve years old or older to attend.
