Event Date:
December 3, 2016 - 1:00pm
Lake Tahoe area supporters of those protesting the pipeline in Standing Rock, ND will be holding a benefit concert at the Tahoe Biltmore on the North Shore on Saturday, December 3 starting at 1:00 p.m.
The family friendly event will feature musicians along with members of local Native American tribes. Also on tap is a arts and crafts area with face painting, raffle and silent auction. Tickets are $20 for adults (12 and under are free) and available by clicking HERE.
"Together as we dance and sing, we stand in solidarity, united with our mother earth, our people, and the brave warriors on the front line of Standing Rock," the event organizers said. "We may not all be able to stand on the front line of Standing Rock ourselves, but by coming together as one we can send our support to the Standing Rock warriors, sending them our love and the resources they need to continue their valiant fight."
100 percent of proceeds will go to the Standing Rock movement to be used in whatever way those at the front line deem most effective and necessary.
Besides monetary donations, needed items will also be collected and delivered in person.
