SnowGlobe 2013 is just over a week away and you can find evidence of the South Lake Tahoe music festival around town.
The fields at Lake Tahoe Community College are being transformed into the largest concert arena for miles around, with three stages being erected as well as warming tents and food operations.
With the death of Petaluma teen Alyssa Byrne during last year's event still on the minds of many, safety of the party goers will be at the forefront. Two warming tents will be placed at the Al Tahoe Blvd entrance and as well as increased awareness of the proper attire to deal with the freezing temperatures during the concert hours. Concert promoters are advising those attending to come prepared, use the buses provided and to not attempt to walk or hitchhike.
The outdoor concert will be held December 29, 30 and 31. During the first 2 days the shows will run from 3 pm to 11 pm and the New Year's Eve shows will be from 3:30 pm to 12:30 am.
Snopp Dogg, Kascade, Tiesto, Kastle and Cut Copy are just a few of the headliners and the rest of the performers can be seen on the event website. Three Day Passes are still available as well as a few single day tickets.
