Nevada Highway Patrol troopers and employees of the state's Department of Public Safety will be at Harveys Lake Tahoe inside the Hard Rock Cafe to raise money for Special Olympics Nevada and California Saturday on Sept. 15.
The troopers will serve as volunteer waiters for the event, which will run through the lunch and dinner hours.

“Over 96 percent of fees help support projects like the Lake Tahoe Water Trail and access to beaches like this,” says Wild, standing on the beach at Watermans Landing. “I train on the lake every day. Tahoe is a treasure, and I have a Tahoe plate to show my love for this magical place.”

Genachowski and his team arrived at Barton to observe best practices in telemedicine and how Barton has implemented and utilized funds from the FCC for the Rural Health Care Pilot Program through their telehealth program.

June 16, 2012 - 9:00am SOUTH LAKE TAHOE- Calif. One hundred CrossFit Athletes in Northern California and Nevada will gather at South Tahoe CrossFit this Saturday, June 16, for a one-day challenge to find the area's fittest man and woman.
In its third year, the Fittest of the Sierras Competition has gained recognition as being the premier CrossFit event in the area. In 2010 the competition hosted athletes from the Reno-Tahoe vicinity, but has now expanded to include competitors from Bishop, Sacramento Central Valley and the Bay Area.
