NORTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Caltrans is advising motorists of a broadband installation project continuing along SR-28 along the north shore of Lake Tahoe next week.

The broadband project is part of a larger statewide effort by the California Department of Technology to bring high-speed internet into rural communities. The contractor for this project is Teichert Construction.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The National Visitor Use Monitoring (NVUM) survey is underway on USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) National Forest lands. It will continue through Sep. 30, 2025. The public can expect to encounter California State University, Chico, employees working near developed recreation sites and along National Forest roads.
