Computer classes at South Lake Tahoe Library through April

Beginning Saturday, April 7, 2012, the South Lake Tahoe Library will offer a series of computer classes throughout the month. Please pre-register by calling (530) 573-3185 or stop by the library.

Computer Basics Class, Saturday
April 7th at 10 am

Unravel the mystery of the computer as you learn the difference between hardware and software, programs and files, operating systems and applications. Get practice using the keyboard and the mouse to control computer actions.This class is the first in a series of four and is highly recommended for anyone interested in the rest of the classes. Laptops are welcome.

Introduction to the Internet Class
Saturday, April 14th at 10 am

In this class you'll learn how to navigate the Internet using website addresses, links and search engines. This class is the second in a series of four and is highly recommended for anyone interested in the rest of the classes. Laptops are welcome

Introduction to the Internet Class
Saturday, April 21st at 10 am

Learn how to send and receive email, organize email, use an address book and open email attachments. This class is the third in a series of four. Laptops are welcome.

Computer and Internet Safety Class
Saturday April 28th at 10 am

In this class we will explore the most common types of computer threats and what you can do to protect yourself and your computer. This is the last and maybe the most important class in this series. Laptops are welcome.
