Event Date:
Repeats every week until Wed Sep 06 2023 .
September 6, 2023 - 7:30pm At first glance, Grover looks like the kind of guy who’ll drip with earnestness and leave you aggressively “whelmed.” But, then you’ll start listening to the stories he has to tell—the adventurers decimated by ambition, the desperate attempts by the broken to play it cool, the extended metaphors that aren’t as sweet as they initially seem. Sure, he’s got love songs—his signature one is called “Sick of You”, and there’s another that’s probably not actually about bootleg liquor.

July 19, 2023 - 7:30pm Explaining Marty O’Reilly’s music is like describing a dream. It feels familiar, but at the same time unchartered. His songs sound bluesy but not blues, folk but not folk, soulful but not soul. Marty’s voice is beautiful and unique, his lyrics stark yet lush over gritty electrified guitar, melding beautifully into genre-defying music within the vast definitions of Americana. One can hear an urgency and complexity in the songs, expressing something elemental and perhaps contradictory: love and anger, joy and pain, real and imagined. The live performance is at the core of Marty’s projects.

Time to prepare for wildfire is now at Lake Tahoe
Submitted by paula on Wed, 05/03/2023 - 9:24amSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Even though many homes still have feet of snow in the front and back yards, it is never too early to be prepared for wildfire. This week is Wildfire Preparedness Week, a reminder to residents to plan ahead to ensure their safety if wildfires threaten the state in the months ahead.
It was Benjamin Franklin who said, "By failing to plan, you are preparing to fail” and Winston Churchill said, “He who fails to plan is planning to fail.” Even though quotes are from previous centuries, they are still valid today.
