Mary Randall, author of children’s adventure books at Dangberg Historic Park

Author of children’s adventure books, Mary Randall will speak on her book “A Walk Through the Woods” in a free presentation at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on Saturday, August 8, at 10:00 a.m.

In her book Mary Randall asks the reader to believe in magic and have a zest for adventure as they trek along with Bobby and his pals through the Magic Kingdom of the woods. The reader will encounter talking animals, twists, turns, and secrets along with Indian spirits and ghosts of the Civil War. Randall hopes that readers will enjoy this amazing journey of surprises, mysteries and fun.

Local Carson City Author Mary Randall was born in San Francisco, California. She grew up in the hills of Fairfax in Marin County where she roamed the woods with her friends letting her imagination run wild, dreaming up great adventures and telling wild tales. Randall didn’t know it then, but these great adventures she experienced would lead her to become the children’s adventure author that she is today.

This is a free outdoor event and families with young children are especially encouraged to attend. The park is located at 1450 Hwy 88, ¼ mile north of the Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital. Visitors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or use one of the park’s chairs. Shaded seating area available. Dogs are not permitted in the park, with the exception of certified service animals.
