Four-week acting online workshop starts in May in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A four-week on-line acting workshop will be starting on May 11, 2020. Take 2 Performers Studio and Tahoe Production House have teamed up to bring this workshop to youth with a focus on television and film acting.
This is an interactive class where students will develop a solid foundation and acting techniques including improv, auditioning skills for film and television, and on-camera experience with instructors Justine Reyes and Holly Lorge.

The Historic Pope and Baldwin Estates have once again been turned into South Lake Tahoe's most haunting Halloween experience, Tahoe Terror.
South Tahoe High students have transformed the estate into unimaginable scares, yet unsolved historical mysteries and ghoulish thrills that can't be found anywhere else. This event has all the ingredients of a truly spectacular outdoor Halloween experience, and the public can "enjoy" them (if they dare) nightly October 18, 19 and 20.

Heavenly Village Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Heavenly Village for the first time ever on Friday, November 23 at 7:00 p.m. The Heavenly Village is located in South Lake Tahoe at 1001 Heavenly Village Way. The disease affected her but in no way defined her. Her husband, Charles Whitten, was by her side. She was 58 years old.

Details remain vague with arrest in nearly 32-year South Lake Tahoe murder of Richard Swanson
Submitted by Editor on Tue, 04/03/2012 - 12:39pmAuthorities have arrested a Carmichael, Calif., man suspected in the 1980 South Lake Tahoe gas station robbery and murder of 16-year-old Richard Swanson.
After nearly 32 years, On March 28, Andrew Sanford, 50, was arrested and booked in the Sacramento County Jail for the alleged murder of Swanson. The robbery and homicide happened on Aug. 14, 1980 in South Lake Tahoe at what was then the Shell Gas Station located at the “Y” on the corner of Lake Tahoe Blvd and Emerald Bay Road. Details of the case have been kept tightly under wraps.

On January 5, 2012 from 2 to 5 p.m., the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center will host a winter-themed Family Science Day. Families are invited to explore the mysteries of snow and ice. Engaging activities will provide your child an opportunity to learn about the science of winter. Children will conduct scientific experiments, view snowflakes under a microscope, take a snow-core and determine the water content of snow, learn about wind chill and why some animals hibernate, and much more.
