Free clinic in South Lake Tahoe to help with DACA applications

Event Date:
November 1, 2014 - 1:00pm

In June 2012, the Secretary of Homeland Security announced that certain people who came to the U.S. as children and who meet several key guidelines may request consideration for deferred action for a period of two years. Since the announcement, legal service organizations have been flooded with requests for assistance in filing Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) applications.

In order to help eligible youth with their DACA applications and DACA application
renewals, OneJustice’s Justice Bus® Project is partnering with the South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center to host a free legal clinic for individuals interested in applying for or renewing their application. At the clinic, volunteer law students and attorneys will be available to assist applicants at any stage of the DACA application or renewal process. Space is limited so call and make your appointment today.
