Caltrans has reopened SR-89 around Emerald Bay

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Caltrans crews have removed the snow from the roadway around Emerald Bay and it has now reopened.

Snow from this weekend's storm in Lake Tahoe closed the road on Saturday, January 5 and it remained closed until today shortly after 10:00 a.m.

All other roads around Lake Tahoe are open and currently free of controls. As a reminder for up to the minute road conditions, visit https://nvroads.com/ for Nevada and http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/ for California.
