Soroptimist's annual Elegant Evening has gone digitial

Soroptimist International of the Tahoe Sierra is holding their 27th annual Elegant Evening on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the Harrah's Lake Tahoe Ballroom.

Since this is the group's major fundraiser of the year you can count on a silent auction, and this year the ladies are stepping it up by going digital, following in the footsteps of Tahoe Douglas Rotary's successful auction last year. Even though the event is still a few months away, people can view auction items and buy tickets on line.

Visit their special auction page. www.501auctions.com/SITSelegantevening and view items that will be available for bid. Bidding won't start until ten days before the event but people can log on and register prior to then. Bidders don't even have to attend the event to place a bid.

On the night of the event bids can be submitted on smart phones, and they'll be alerted when outbid, no matter where they are.

Elegant Evening will have selective tastings from their winery friends in El Dorado Hills and from the award winning Tahoe Blue Vodka.

Besides the silent auction, the Soroptimists will have their famous "Elegant Bags" for sale as well as a live auction and Elegant Business Sponsored Baskets.

All donations and proceeds go directly to help women and youth in the South Lake Tahoe community and the world.
