Accident at Strawberry adding to holiday traffic jam leaving Lake Tahoe

An overturned vehicle near Strawberry is creating a holiday traffic jam over Highway 50 today. Eastbound lanes are blocked at Mile Marker 41.
The California Highway Patrol is reporting no injuries in the accident which was reported at 11:49 a.m. Tow trucks just arrived at 12:30 p.m. and are getting the vehicle out of the roadway.
Traffic through Meyers has been reported as heavy all day, which is normal after a holiday weekend in Lake Tahoe, but several drivers have said they haven't moved in over 30 minutes.
An earlier accident between a truck and SUV occurred over the Carson Pass but the drivers just exchanged information and all is cleared.
