LAKE TAHOE, CALIF. - Seven people on a four-wheeling trip along the Rubicon Trail near Sunday became stuck in snow and unable to get out on their own. They were near Miller Lake, west of Meeks Bay and Lake Tahoe.
On Monday, February 5, Placer County Sheriff's Office received a phone call from family members when the group did not return as planned.
Search and rescue located two of the group early Monday and they were airlifted out by the California Highway Patrol's H20 helicopter. Soon after, the other five were located by Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue and taken out to the command center.
Conditions of the seven are unknown though the Placer Sheriff said "They are doing well" on their facebook post.
