City of South Lake Tahoe Forming Airport Master Plan; Asks for Community Input

There was once a day when the South Lake Tahoe airport had ticket counters, daily flights coming and going, rental car counters and was the scene of a thriving transportation hub.

Today, the airport sees the most action during American Century Celebrity Golf and the Annual Lake of the Sky Airshow and is home to the City of South Lake Tahoe offices.

What direction would you like to see the airport take?

Be a part of the planning process by attending Thursday's Airport Master Plan meeting where there will be a 30 minute historical presentation along with stations where information will be presented and gathered.

Part of the process includes participants learning about what can, and cannot be done, at the property.

The meeting will be held at the airport (1900 Airport Road) in the City Council Chambers from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Call the City for more information at 530-542-6182.
