South Lake Tahoe City Council appoints parks and recreation, other agency commissioners

The South Lake Tahoe City Council made appointments to the Parks and Recreation, Clean Tahoe, City Lay Member Appointee to the TRPA Advisory Planning, and El Dorado Commission on Aging at Tuesday's City Council meeting.

The Parks and Recreation Commission consist of five (5) members to serve two-year terms on the commission and reside within the Tahoe Basin portion of El Dorado County. Rebecca Bryson, Peter Fink, Steven Noll, Bonnie Turnbull, and Scott Valentine received appointments. The Parks and Recreation Commission meet at least on a quarterly basis at the City’s Parks & Recreation Complex.

The next appointment was for the Clean Tahoe Commission which consists of one (1) member to serve a two-year term and reside within the Tahoe Basin portion of El Dorado County. Councilmembers voted and appointed George Alm to serve on the commission which meets monthly, the third Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm in the City Council Chambers.

The City Lay Member Appointee to the TRPA Advisory Planning Commission consists of one (1) member to serve a two-year term and reside within the Tahoe Basin portion of El Dorado County. Joy Curry received appointment to the commission which meets monthly, the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30 am at the TRPA offices located at Lower Kingsbury Grade.

The final commission appointment was for the El Dorado Commission on Aging, which also consists of one (1) member to serve a two-year term and reside within the Tahoe Basin portion of El Dorado County. Councilmembers voted and appointed Geraldine Grego to the commission which meets monthly, the third Thursday of each month at various locations.
