Event Date:
March 4, 2015 - 11:00am
Learn about El Dorado County's Good Neighbor Program, their guide to handing vacation home rentals in the unincorported area of South Lake Tahoe, during a community meeting on March 4.
The County's Treasurer/Tax Collector’s Office has invited everyone who lives in the county, lives near a vacation rental, owns a vacation rental or manages them to their meeing being held at the South Lake Tahoe Library at 11 a.m.
The Good Neighbor Program encourages both vacation rental home owners and managers educate their renters about how to be a good neighbor/renter during their time in South Lake Tahoe. Another part of the program requires the owners to contact the neighboring homes so residents know where to go with complaints or other situations. At the first sign of a vacation rental violation the neighbors are encouraged to call the property manager/home owner to get the situation rectified.
The brochure is also available at the County’s website at:
edcgov.us/Government/TaxCollector/Vacation_Home_Rental_Permit.aspx.
If there are any questions about the meeting, please call the Tax Collector’s Office at 530-621-5803.
