South Shore casino income gains almost 11% in January

Casinos in the state of Nevada registered a "gaming win" of $1,036,265,398 in January. This amount is 12.02 percent higher than January of 2016.
The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.
On the South Shore, the casino win was up 10.83 percent with their reported income of $17,105,546. Since the fiscal year began July 1, the local casinos have been on the positive side most months. Their "gaming win" since then has been $139,616,089, up 8.03 percent.
The rest of Douglas County were almost even, with a slight loss of .49 percent. Their "gaming win" was $7,556,907.
The biggest gain in the state was Downtown Las Vegas with a gain of $13,477,389. On the other end, the biggest loss was seen in North Lake Tahoe with their casino "win" down 29.94 percent.
