Fair Oaks couple wins $10K Tahoe South 'Epic Wedding'

A Fair Oaks, Calif., couple are starting off life together on a high note by winning a $10,000 Tahoe South Wedding. TahoeWeddings’ Facebook fans voted from three finalists to march the couple down the aisle in Tahoe South.

Ryan Miranda and Melissa Langeland receive a Tahoe South 2012 Memorial Weekend adventure beginning with two nights lodging for up to 30 guests at The Ridge Tahoe; rehearsal dinner at Edgewood Tahoe for up to 12 guests; VIP party for up to 20 guests at Opal Ultra Lounge in MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa; a lakefront wedding ceremony for 30 guests at Zephyr Cove Resort, sponsored by ARAMARK Lake Tahoe; a lunch reception for 30 at Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Hotel & Ski Resort; plus the wedding cake, DJ, flowers, photographer and activities.

A video re-enactment of their marriage proposal and a montage of photos from bull riding to hiking demonstrated their “adventurous side” and convinced Facebook fans to vote them the most adventurous couple in the contest. Almost 1,000 Facebook fans cast votes between the top three finalists.

“Lake Tahoe was the first place we vacationed together and really fell in love with each other. We both grew up visiting Lake Tahoe with our families and it has been a place where many fond memories have been made,” said Melissa Langeland “and we'll continue to make new memories there with this next adventure!”

Facebook fans next determine which vendors should provide prize elements. Throughout March and April fans may vote on various elements of the wedding, such as the cake, photographer, DJ, flowers, as well as adventurous and pampering activities which Tahoe South is known for activities such as kayaking, boat cruises, golfing or sightseeing tours.
