SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The community is invited to attend a forum on the US 50 South Shore Community Revitalization Project this Thursday, March 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center.
The project involves the realignment of US 50, south of the tourist core which will leave a new main street in the Heavenly Village area, required affordable housing replacement as well as parking strategies for the tourist core area, pedestrian, bike, and transit enhancements and other community amenities.
The forum will be a chance for the public to engage with stakeholders from the City of South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, and Tahoe Transportation District. A facilitator will guide the conversation, but the goal is to start a conversation about the project and what shape the public would like to see the future take in South Lake Tahoe.
The SLT Senior Center is located at 3050 Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
