South Lake Tahoe police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted for the March 7 robbery of El Dorado Savings Bank, 3443 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
The suspect, who used a demand note and did not brandish a weapon, was described as a Caucasian male, about 22-28 years old, 5’ 11”, thin, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, said Det. Nick Carlquist in a news release. He wore a letterman-style jacket over the hoodie and had ski goggles on.
In cooperation with a local sketch artist, a composite sketch of the suspect was created. The suspect has a mark (possibly a birthmark or darkened area) on the left side of his cheek. South Lake Tahoe police are investigating numerous leads and asking for help from the community in identifying the suspect, Det. Carlquist said.
The robbery was reported at 2:06 p.m. Police said the man entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was seen. After the undisclosed amount of money was handed to him, he fled the scene on foot.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is directed to contact Detective Nick Carlquist at (530) 542-6133 or ncarlquist@cityofslt.us.
