The final performance of the play, The Royal Family, will be performed at 7 p.m. tonight at South Tahoe High School beginning at 7:00 p.m. due to weather cancellation of the show on Saturday night.
Tickets are available at the door one hour prior to the show and are $10 for adults, $5 for students, free with Super ASB card & PABA coupons. The high school is located at 1735 Lake Tahoe Blvd. For additional information go to www.ltusd.org/
The story unfolds in three acts about the family’s struggle to remain dedicated to their craft under all circumstances. The play is based so closely on the lives of the famous Barrymore family, with all their eccentricities, that the original Broadway opening in 1927 was delayed due to a lawsuit. It’s a wonderful tale about family obligation, career dilemmas and finding happiness.
This comedy, directed by Nannette Niven, has all the trappings of great theatre including an amazing set, wonderful costumes and fine acting. The Tahoe Arts & Design Academy Theatre provides the perfect venue with all-new lighting and sound. The Royal Family, written by George Kaufman and Edna Ferber, is an enduring favorite that audiences have enjoyed seeing on Broadway and London stages for many years. This is your opportunity to see a Broadway style show right here in South Lake Tahoe.
