Lock down at South Tahoe High lifted, suspect still on loose

11:00 a.m. Update: The suspect who evaded law enforcement on his motorcycle was not found in the Sierra Gardens Apartments. The lock down has been lifted.

South Tahoe High is on lock down this morning after a high speed chase of a motorcyclist through city limits.
The chase entered near Cardinale Way and it became a foot pursuit near the high school.

9:50 a.m. - Officers ftom South Lake Tahoe Police, El Dorado County Sheriff and California Highway Patrol all still searching for the man. STHS remains on lock down.
This situation began when CHP officers attempted to pull over a motorcyclist for improper riding and failure to wear a helmet. He then led officers through South Lake Tahoe at high speeds.
