South Lake Tahoe ski, snowboard and weather report for Saturday

As the ski season winds down, this is the last ski and snowboard report for the season. Planned closing dates for local resorts are listed below.

The following is the ski, snowboard and weather report for Saturday, April 9, 2016 for South Lake Tahoe, brought to you by Lake Tahoe SkiBum.

Weather - South Lake Tahoe will have a high today of 49 and a low tonight of

37. Today: Showers. High near 49. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Tonight: Showers, mainly before midnight. Low around 37. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Heavenly - They plan to close on April 24. Groomed. No new snow in last 24 hours. Groomer's Picks: Ridge Run in CA | Comet in NV. Tubing hill is closed. Access to mountain by CA Base Lodge, Gondola and Stagecoach Lodge. Base depth is 82". They plan to have 81% of the mountain open with 18 lifts and 90 runs open. Lift statusRain and snow showers, becoming all snow after 11am. High near 38. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Sierra-at-Tahoe - They plan to close on April 19. Groomed. No new snow in last 24 hours. They plan to open 7 lifts open with groomed conditions on 30 of their open 46 runs. Six snow park and the pipe are open. Base depth is 52" to 122". Lift status. Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. High near 40. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.www.sierraattahoe.com.

Kirkwood - They plan to close April 17. Spring Conditions. No new snow in last 24 hours. They plan to have 54% of the mountain terrain open with 1250 acres, 8 lifts and 56 runs. 88" base. Lift status. Rain showers before noon, then rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. High near 34. Calm wind becoming west southwest around 6 mph in the morning.
