Another round of winter storms heading to Lake Tahoe

Mother Nature kept winter away from Lake Tahoe for much of the season, but now that the calendar says "spring" there has been snow in the forecast at least weekly.
The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a forecast with four days with snow over the next seven days. High pressure will bring warmer temperatures Saturday across the region with temperatures to near 70 degrees in the western
northern Sierra with snow levels between 5500-6500 feet, then falling to valley floors after midnight and into early Monday morning. Moderate snow amounts are likely in the Sierra for Sunday night, with several inches likely for the 5500-6500 foot elevation, including Lake Tahoe.
The pattern of a system every 2-3 days will continue next week. One system will be exiting on Tuesday with a warm up through Wednesday, followed by another system Wednesday night and Thursday.

Tonight - Mostly clear, with a low around 29. Calm wind.
Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 59. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 36. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday - A 20 percent chance of rain after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.
Sunday Night - Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 11pm. Low around 25. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
Monday - Snow showers. High near 35. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Monday Night - A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 43.
Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 21.
Wednesday - Partly sunny, with a high near 48.
Wednesday Night - A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.
Thursday - A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44.
Thursday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 25.
Friday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 52.
