With the potential for record-high temperatures in the mix, strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon for Lake Tahoe and much of Western Nevada, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
Thunderstorms could produce wind gusts to 60 mph with small hail, blowing dust and lighting. Visibility in Western Nevada could be reduced to less than a mile during the active part of the storms.
For Lake Tahoe, scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible, mainly between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
