Unity at the Lake will be giving away $2,000 to local youth during their essay contest, part of their long-standing intention to empower youth in the South Lake Tahoe community.
South Tahoe High School students in grades 9-12 are invited to submit a 400-600 word essay with the title "How I Make a Difference." The essay should explore what these words mean to the student and how they have incorporated them (or intend to incorporate them) into their personal life. Unity will select one winning essay in each grade for each $500 award.
Not only should the essays fall in the word count requirement, but they also need to be double spaced with 14-point font, and then emailed to unityatthelake@sbcglobal.net.
The deadline for submission is May 15, 2018.
