Three Latinas and a Navé Cinco de Mayo comedy show on South Shore

Howie Nave has spread his comedic wings and has now produced a comedy show, Three Latinas and a Navé (accent on the 'e' that night), which will be unveiled May 5 at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe's Vinyl, starting at 8:00 p.m.

It's a Cinco de Mayo evening of comedy presented by Nave's Bear Tracks Promotions and KRLT 93-9 The Lake with Latina comedians Shayla Rivera, Monique Marvez, Jade Esteban Estrada. Nave will be hosting the show, something fans of comedy will know from his years in a South Lake Tahoe comedy club.

THe headliner is Shayla Rivera who before being a comedian was a bonafide rocket scientist working for NASA on their space shuttle program. She pursued her passion of comedy after NASA retired their space shuttle program and hasn't looked back. Rivera crosses all demographics, age groups, genders and cultures. She recently appeared on an HBO Latino special and has been on Comedy Central, NBC and did a very successful one-woman show based on her years as a rocket scientist called, "It's Rocket Science and Salsa with Shayla Rivera." Her most rewarding experience though was performing overseas doing USO tours in the Middle East for our men and women in uniform.

Monique Marvez is also a headlining performer and writer who's done three Showtime specials: "The Latin Divas of Comedy," "Snoop Dogg Presents the Bad Girls of Comedy" and her own one hour Showtime special, "Not Skinny Not Blonde" based on her critically acclaimed one woman stage show soon to be published as a book too. When not touring or writing she's busy preparing for "The Monique Marvez Show" on Los Angeles’s KFI AM 640, one of the most popular radio shows in LA that airs 'live' every Saturday night from 8PM to 10PM.

Opening the program is Jade Esteban Estrada (aka The Prada Enchilada) who has headlined over 250 Pride events worldwide (which may explain his onstage love of velvet tuxedos and bright pink feather boas). Television credits include the Emmy award-winning 30 Rock (NBC), The Graham Norton Effect (Comedy Central) and hosting duties at the 19th Annual South Florida GLAAD Media Awards (Bravo TV). Jade has also performed numerous comedy festivals including the very prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has performed with Phyllis Diller, Richard Lewis, Gallagher, Iliza Shlesinger and many others. The Richmond Times-Dispatch calls him “a master entertainer” and the Phoenix New Times calls him “absolutely super-fabulous!”
