New CFO now on the job for Douglas County

Vicki Moore has been selected for the permanent position of Chief Financial Officer of Douglas County after holding the position on an interim basis since the position became vacant in October, 2016.
“I look forward to continuing to build strong working relationships with the Department Heads, Elected Officials and other County Staff as we strive to develop and implement the strategic goals of the County,” said Moore.
She will oversee the Finance Department which is responsible for the administration of financial affairs for the County. Moore and her staff provide fiscal support for the County, towns and districts, including financial administration and reporting, forecasting, payroll, capital project financing and debt management.
Moore was born and raised in Nevada and has lived in Douglas County for 18 years with her husband and two children. Moore was originally hired in November of 2013 as an Accountant and was promoted to Accounting Manager in July of 2015.
In addition to her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Computer Information Systems, Vicki is a licensed CPA with over 17 years of experience in various facets of Accounting and Finance.
“As Interim Chief Financial Officer she has proven her management skills by continuing the vision and strategic objectives of the organization and has led the team through many successful projects,” said County Manager Larry Werner.
Vicki began her official role as Chief Financial Officer on April 24, 2017.
