Four new COVID-19 cases for Lake Tahoe region of El Dorado County

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There have been six new cases of COVID-19 in the county since Friday, four in the Lake Tahoe region, one in El Dorado Hills, and one in Cameron Park.

The new cases are two men, four women - five are in the 18-49 age range, one in the 50-64 age range.

Officials have been able to perform an additional 230 tests of people with symptoms. Free testing for COVID-19 for those without symptoms has opened up by appointment only at two locations in El Dorado County, one in South Lake Tahoe and the other in Shingle Springs. These are not antibody tests and only show if a person has the virus at the time of the test.

There have been no new recoveries and the current case number is ten.

Twenty people in the Lake Tahoe region of the county have tested positive. This region includes South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Kyburz, and Tahoma.

Quad-Counties - Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Lyon

Quad-County Emergency Operations Center (Quad EOC) on Sunday announced one new positive case and five new cases on Saturday with four additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 103, with 57 recoveries and one death, 45 cases remain active.

The new cases are:
• A female Lyon County resident in her 30’s

Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the case will be released.

There were twelve new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County over the weekend.
