Lake Wind Advisory in effect for Lake Tahoe Thursday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There is a Lake Wind Advisory in effect for the Lake Tahoe Basin from noon to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21.
Winds from the west 15-20 mph are expected on the lake with gusts to 35 mph. Waves will be 1-3 feet with the highest waves on eastern shores.
Small boats, kayaks and paddleboards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve.
Temperatures will be rising at the lake, with a dip into the 80s anticipated by Tuesday!
The four-day forecast from the National Weather Service in Reno:
Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 64. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.
Thursday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Friday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 31. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east after midnight.
Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 65. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning.
Saturday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 37.
Sunday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 72.
Sunday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 42.
A peek into next week has 80 on Tuesday and 81 on Wednesday.
