Evacuation Drill for Zephyr Knolls and Zephyr Heights on May 31

The drill provides a valuable training experience for emergency teams and the opportunity for residents to participate. It is also an excellent time to review your evacuation plan and kit.

The Tahoe Douglas Fire District will hold an inter-agency wildfire evacuation drill on May 31 between the hours of 10am – 2pm.
The drill will be held in the Zephyr Heights and Zephyr Knolls communities. Residents of these communities will be notified by direct mail, door hangers and signage at the entrance areas to the communities.
Residents are encouraged to participate. The evacuation center for the drill will be the Zephyr Cove Park picnic area. Lunch will be served to those residents who evacuate to the park.
