Nationally-recognized Advantage Basketball Camps return to South Shore Lake Tahoe

Coach Gil Llewellyn, and some of his top staff of World-renowned Advantage Basketball Camps, rated as one of the top camps in the country by Sports Illustrated for Kids, is returning to the Kahle Community Center in Stateline.

The following session is scheduled:
Summer Ball handling and shooting camp: June 25-28, Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 4. (early drop off OK, after 8:30) Camp is available in 2-4 day sessions. Tuition: $145 to $225.

The camp will take place at Kahle Community Center in Stateline and is open to boys and girls ages 6-18, of all ability levels. Join Coach Gil and some of his top staff with nearly 45 years of combined professional playing experience) as they make Lake Tahoe one of their first stops on their 2012 Summer Camp Tour!

Develop lightning-quick ball-handling skills, while achieving better body control and core strength, through a series of progressive drills — purposefully designed to create rapid improvements in an engaging, high energy, challenging, yet encouraging learning environment, tailored to the individual level of EVERY camper - where the coaches sweat, and love the game, as much, if not more than the campers.

Learn the fundamentals of handling the ball from catching and receiving it, to protecting it, to shooting the ball using various types of shots, from various areas of the court, getting open, creating space as well as other indispensable, situational shooting concepts and techniques, as one’s level and ability may so require.

Develop increased court awareness and good habits, in terms of spacing, angles, timing, and communication, both offensively and defensively, and gain a far better appreciation for the game.
