Harrah's and Harveys Lake Tahoe have announced a new addition to their staff. Christopher Joy has been named Vice President of Hotel and Food & Beverage for the resorts.
Joy spent many years living in the Reno area, having attended Reed High School and the University of Nevada, Reno. He started his gaming and hospitality career at the Silver Legacy in 1995 before moving to Las Vegas where he helped open the Aladdin as the Assistant Director of Front Office Operations, a job he held for five years.
He has worked at Wynn Las Vegas, Peppermill (Reno), Windsor Court Hotel (New Orleans), Harrah's New Orleans, and both Caesars and the Palms in Las Vegas.
“Chris is very excited to be returning to the Northern Nevada area,” says John Koster, Regional President for Caesars Entertainment in Northern Nevada.
Joy has been with his husband, Michael, for 18 years and they enjoy raising their three West Highland Terriers. They both enjoy travel, and look forward to spending time on “the Lake,” back home in Northern Nevada.
