The Tahoe Youth and Family Services Board of Directors has announced that Christopher Croft will take the position as the agency's new Executive Director. Croft comes to TYFS from Tacoma, Washington where he was the Family Division Director of The Rescue Mission, a non-profit agency that provides shelter, counseling and meals for homeless men, women and children.
The Board said they felt his successes working with the Tacoma Mission’s Family Shelter and Family Life Programs, the Washington Food Coalition and building relationships with other agencies, clients and the government will enable him to take Tahoe Youth & Family Services to the next level.
“I am excited to bring my skill set and experience of growing and maintaining large and complex programs to Tahoe Youth and Family Services,” said Croft. “I am passionate about serving underprivileged youth and families to improve our world and our future. I look forward to the opportunity to be a catalyst in the surrounding community to reveal the community stake in investing in youth and families through Tahoe Youth and Family Services.”
The Seattle University graduate is married to Rachel, a school teacher, and together they have a daughter Olivia.
Mr. Christopher Croft will begin his new position this week. There will be a welcome reception held in his honor on June 12 from noon to 2 p.m. at the TYFS offices located at 1021 Fremont Street in South Lake Tahoe. The public is welcome to attend and there will be light refreshments served.
