SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The community is coming together to help the wife and children of Hugo Parra-Solis, the 37-year-old Carson City resident who was killed by an impaired driver near Stateline on Thursday.
His death has hit the South Lake Tahoe and Carson City communities hard. Parra-Solis leaves behind his wife Celia Hernandez Covarrubias and three young children. He worked for Brian Kuelper Construction and helped remodel and build several homes in the South Lake Tahoe area. His friends and customers have pulled together to help the family with funeral expenses and other needs.
An account has been set up with U.S. Bank and people can donate at any branch. The name on the account is "For Benefit of (FBO) Celia Hernandez Covarrubias."
Anyone interested in donating to the family can do so at any branch. Cash up to $500 can be accepted, or checks in any amount. Friends set up the account for Cecilia so she and the kids could get 100 percent of the donation as U.S. Bank does not keep a percentage as does GoFundMe.
