Lake Tahoe Unified School Board meeting Tuesday

The Lake Tahoe Unified School Board of Trustees will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, June 22, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.

The following items are included on the agenda:

The approval of the 2015/16 Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). In order to fulfill requirements of the Education Code and District Policy, public hearings have been held to solicit the recommendations and comments of members of the public regarding the specific actions and expenditures proposed to be included in the LCAP. The proposed LCAP has been available for public inspection, both online and in hard copy, since June 5, 2015. The Board of Education will take action to approve the Plan.

Presentation and Adoption of Proposed 2015-16 Budget. Debra Yates, CFO, will make a presentation to the Board of Education, review significant assumptions, multi-year projections, and comment on the overall fiscal health of the District.

Award contracts to provide floor covering South Tahoe Middle School, siding repairs and exterior painting at Sierra House Elementary.

Review new policies and regulations.

Approve a one year extension of Dr. James Tarwater's contract as Superintendent of LTUSD.

Approve employment contract between Lake Tahoe Unified School District and Billy Wessell, Chief Business and Operations Officer who will replace the retiring Debra Yates, CFO.
