Arson suspect arrested in 47K acre Perry Fire burning near Reno

An arrest has been made in connection with the Perry Fire, which has burned over 47,000 acres north of Reno as of Tuesday afternoon.
A 34-year-old Reno man is in custody on multiple arson charges as part of a joint fire and law enforcement investigation into the cause of the fire which started on July 27, 2018.
The fire is 31 percent contained at this hour
David Charles Radonski was arrested by Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 as part of a joint investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, and BLM Law Enforcement.
Radonski is being booked on two counts of First Degree Arson and 41 counts of Third Degree Arson. Additional charges may be filed once a full assessment of the fire’s damage has been completed.
