Music and craft beer tasting poolside at 968 Park

968 Park Hotel is going to have a craft beer tasting event on Saturday August 15th at 5 p.m. at their outdoor pool facility which features a bar, stage and cabanas. The craft beer tasting will be followed by the much anticipated return of San Francisco’s Dirty Cello. Both events are free to the public.

“With the success of our free wine tasting events every Friday, we decided to create a similar concept to showcase our craft beer selection at the CoffeePub," said Ted Johanson, Manager at 968 Park Hotel. "There will be complimentary tasting samples and all Deschutes beers will be half price. We’re excited to pair this event with a free live show by one of our favorite acts, Dirty Cello!”

Dirty Cello...cello like you’ve never heard before. Led by Rebecca Roudman, one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most exciting crossover cellists, Dirty Cello presents a high energy mix of soulful blues, swingin’ gypsy jazz and wild Euro-gypsy dance music. Having shared the stage with Carlos Santana, Elvis Costello, Isaac Hayes, Joan Baez, George Clinton, and many more exceptional performers, Rebecca Roudman leads the Dirty Cello band which has performed in China to sold out audiences, and at many other exciting venues including the House of Blues (Voodoo Lounge), the Hard Rock Cafe (Oahu and Maui) and tours to Hawaii, LA/San Diego, Seattle, Oregon, Colorado and Texas. As classically trained musicians who also love to rock out, the Dirty Cello band puts on a unique performance that shows a whole new side to the cello. Think B.B. King meets Yo-Yo Ma.

The hotel is located at 968 Park Avenue in South Lake Tahoe.
