Sunny and warm week ahead in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - High pressure will provide a few more days of hot weather with most areas remaining dry. There is just a slight chance for a few thunderstorms through Tuesday, mainly southeast of Lake Tahoe. A cooling trend to more seasonable temperatures along with an increase in winds is expected for the second half of the week.

The forecast from the National Weather Service in Reno:

Monday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Light southwest wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Monday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 47. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 49. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.

Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 80.

Thursday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 44.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 78.

Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 43.

Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 79.

Saturday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 42.

Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 80.
