Windy around Lake Tahoe Sunday, mild week ahead

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - In the coming week, Lake Tahoe and Western Nevada will see temperatures near average with a few degrees of cooling possible for the early part of next week. Dry conditions and typical breezes are expected through Saturday evening with breezy winds and critical fire weather concerns increasing for Sunday as a dry trough approaches the region. No precipitation is expected for the next week.

Expect widespread haze from Northern California fires.

Tonight - Widespread haze. Mostly clear, with a low around 33. Southwest wind around 5 mph.

Sunday - Widespread haze after 11am. Sunny, with a high near 78. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Sunday Night - Widespread haze. Mostly clear, with a low around 34. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Monday - Widespread haze. Sunny, with a high near 77. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night - Widespread haze before 11pm. Clear, with a low around 35. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 78.

Tuesday Night - Clear, with a low around 37.

Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 75.

Wednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 40.

Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 76.

Thursday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 40.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 77.

Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 39.
