South Tahoe Vikings falls short in game against El Dorado

With an early 12-0 lead, the South Tahoe Vikings under first year head coach Louis Franklin were commanding before a home town crowd on Friday night.
That lead fell away in the 4th quarter and a late comeback fell short. The Vikings lost 35-32.
South Tahoe hosted the El Dorado Cougars in a non-conference game in their annual match-up before the season gets started.
In a 5 p.m. game at South Tahoe High, two visiting varsity teams played. Tokay High out of Lodi, CA, which is Coach Franklin's former school, played against Fallon, NV. Tokay won the game 34-23 after shutting out Fallon in the 4th quarter 13-0.

The new bleachers were up and filled almost to capacity. There is still a little grounds work needed to complete the project but they were well received Friday night.
The Junior Varsity team travels to Placerville Saturday to play El Dorado in a 7 p.m. match-up.
Next up for South Tahoe is a home game against Spring Creek. Varsity starts at 7 p.m.
