Hard Rock Cafe at South Shore Lake Tahoe to host Tip A Cop Fundraiser

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers and employees of the state's Department of Public Safety will be at Harveys Lake Tahoe inside the Hard Rock Cafe to raise money for Special Olympics Nevada and California Saturday on Sept. 15.
The troopers will serve as volunteer waiters for the event, which will run through the lunch and dinner hours.
As patrons are greeted, volunteer servers will leave an envelope with each table for those wishing to make a donation. These tips are in addition to the regular server’s entitled gratuity. All of the extra tips will stay in Northern Nevada and Northern California to pay for the sports training and competition activities that our area athletes enrolled in Special Olympics Nevada programs continue to enjoy year-round.
