League to host 19th Annual Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day

Event Date:
September 10, 2016 - 8:30am

The League to Save Lake Tahoe will host the 19th annual Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day on Saturday, September 10 in South Lake Tahoe. Community members will gather for this fun, all-ages, hands-on restoration day at the Angora Burn Area.

By pitching in, volunteers can make a direct impact in restoring the watershed habitats that surround Lake Tahoe. Participants will restore area trails and help protect young trees by thinning whitethorn bushes currently competing for water. This project is a partnership with the U.S. Forest Service - Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. Funding for this event provided through a grant from the United States Forest Service El Dorado County Resource Advisory Committee.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided to all volunteers. For questions, please email events@keeptahoeblue.org.
