Two cyclists hit by drunk driver in South Lake Tahoe

Two bicyclists riding westbound on Highway 50 near Lodi Avenue in South Lake Tahoe sustained minor injuries after they hit by a suspected drunk driver just before 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
The driver, 27-year-old Charles English of South Lake Tahoe, fled the scene and was later located by law enforcement, according to South Lake Tahoe Police Sgt. Travis Cabral.
He was arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail on two charges of driving under the influence oe and arrested on two felony charges of driving under the influence and causing bodily injury, and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of .08 or above.
Bail was set at $150,000 and as of 8:00 p.m. Saturday, English remains in custody.
The cyclists were not transported to the hospital and it is unknown if they were part of the large group of cyclists in town for the annual Tour de Tahoe Sunday.
