Sierra at Tahoe Rated Amongst Best Snowboarding Resorts in U.S.

Regarded as one of the top magazines in the industry, TransWorld SNOWboarding has been ranking the best resorts in North America for over a decade. In their poll for the 2014 season, TransWorld SNOWboarding ranked Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort amongst the best mountains in North America.

The Resort Poll ranks mountains based on mountain features such as parks and halfpipe, terrain, and other areas including vibe, snowfall, lodging, value, and food. Each year TransWorld readers are polled to rank their three favorite resorts based on their overall experience.

The latest Resort Poll ranked Sierra Resort™ as the fourth best overall mountain in North America. Sierra Resort not only offers innovative terrain parks, but also a 2,000 acre mountain receiving an average of 480 inches of snowfall annually, giving guests access to a powder paradise and variety of terrain for all abilities. Sierra Resort was also recognized as the eighth best halfpipe in the nation and number one for value!

Each season Sierra Resort strives to create and maintain innovative freestyle terrain that appeals to an ever-growing demographic of skiers and snowboarders. Designed, built, and maintained throughout the season by Snow Park Technology (SPT) trained operators, who are the leading innovators in the industry, the freestyle terrain at Sierra offers an experience that caters to the young and old, first-time jibbers and seasoned park riders, families and college students alike.

Sierra Resort General Manager, John Rice commented, “Year after year we are privileged to be among the top resorts. Our commitment to quality parks starts with our staff and, in return, benefits our world-class athletes and faithful riders who call Sierra home. It’s an honor that TransWorld’s readers would consider us one of the top resorts in the country. We’re excited to continue our tradition of excellence and give guests an even better mountain experience moving into the 2013-2014 season.”

The 2014 Resort Poll marks the fourth year in a row that Sierra Resort has been ranked as one of the top ten overall mountains and the seventh year in the past eleven that Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort has been recognized in the Resort Poll.
