Christmas Cheer's food pantry pilfered by bears

Bears apparently found the food pantry at Christmas Cheer All Year too good to pass up on Monday night. Board Member Tom Davis reported that bears broke into the food pantry and helped themselves to the food used to feed those community members in need.
Christmas Cheer All Year is asking for the community’s support with food and monetary donations as they begin to restock their shelves.
Christmas Cheer All Year is a food pantry which provides monthly staple and perishable food to low income families referred by local social service agencies. Also offers donated, used clothing, shoes, toys, and small household items. The organization is supported by private donations and community fund raisers and the entire staff are volunteers.
They are located at 1120 Third Street in South Lake Tahoe. For questions, please call (530) 542-4934. They are not open every day so call ahead for times to drop off donations.
