Watch it Live: Nevada Day festivities in Carson City

The Nevada Day Parade will be shown live today, beginning at 10 a.m. by Carson City-based We Shoot Video. Go here to watch it live. For the fourth year We Shoot Video has produced on-air live streaming coverage and running online commentary of the Nevada Day Parade.

“I just love the Nevada Day Celebrations, no other state does it like this. It’s totally unique!” said We Shoot it Live owner Keith Barnett. Barnett's wife and business partner Chrissi Barnett will lead the chat box during the event and encourages all those who can't make it to the parade to participate in the chat room.

“We want to share this with the world!” says Barnett. “If you can’t come to the parade, it’s the next best thing. Last year we had folks from all over including Hawaii and Nebraska watching!”

Nevada Day is a grand celebration commemorating our admission to statehood in 1864. Nevadan’s have the distinction of holding the largest statehood celebration in the nation! The highlight of our celebration is the Nevada Day Parade, which is held on the last Saturday of October. In addition to the parade, Nevada Day special events take place all weekend.

The parade features floats, marching bands, and a variety of entertainment. The parade route begins at the intersection of William and Carson streets and ends at the intersection of Stewart and Carson streets.

The video can be viewed on the www.NevadaDay.com website. You can chat with the video crew for both events. For more information about We Shoot Video or the Webcast, contact Keith Barnett (775) 297-4125.
