Geeks and hackers wanted to Keep Tahoe Blue

Tahoe Mountain Lab’s first ever Hackathon will be held on November 7, 2015 to help the League to Save Lake Tahoe build a new visitor app for their recently overhauled Fritzi & David Huntington Environmental Education Center in South Lake Tahoe.

The League to Save Lake Tahoe, who's slogan is “Keep Tahoe Blue,” is Tahoe's oldest and largest nonprofit environmental advocacy organization. By participating in this app project, participants will help those who visit the center to better understand the history of Tahoe’s environmental challenges. The app will show them how they can get involved in campaigns to combat pollution and invasive species, as well as to promote restoration and protect Tahoe's shoreline.

Tahoe Mountain Lab will provide the space, and the League will provide free snacks, lunch, and coffee. With the help of Lake Tahoe’s tech community, they are hopeful to devise a fun and exciting interactive app to teach users how to help Keep Tahoe Blue.
